Seven-Version Snapshot

Trace one consequential guest promise across every version.

A Seven-Version Snapshot is a manual, human-reviewed diagnostic for independent hotels and guesthouses. It starts with one fact or condition a guest may rely on, establishes what the house actually means, and compares how that meaning survives across the versions the guest may encounter.

Established position

Baby cot: available on request, subject to confirmation.

Hotel website

Condition visible in the owned position.

Aligned

Booking path

Request path needs checking.

Missing field

Structured data

No relevant field may be exposed.

Inaccessible

Public / local profile

Wording may not match the house position.

Contradiction

Selected OTA

Request becomes available.

Condition lost

AI synthesis

Dated evidence and source path required.

Inaccessible

A repair map, not a score for the sake of scoring.

Why start here

On request can quietly become available.

A hotel may write a condition carefully on one page and still lose it elsewhere. A booking card may shorten the wording. A public profile may omit the request path. An OTA field may not support the nuance. An AI assistant may combine several sources and give a confident yes.

Inside the hotel, the owner may still know that nothing is confirmed until a person checks availability or makes an arrangement. The Snapshot makes that gap inspectable.

Scope

Seven roles around one promise.

The exact surfaces depend on what exists for the property. The method is about representation roles, not forcing every hotel into the same seven websites.

Deliverables

A repair map, not a score for the sake of scoring.

  • Established position with conditions, exceptions, unknowns, and confirmation path.
  • Seven-version representation map recording what each relevant surface says and how the evidence was obtained.
  • Material mutations such as condition lost, request became guarantee, stale policy, unclear authority, or missing action path.
  • Ownership and confirmation gaps recorded as unknown rather than guessed.
  • A small number of priority repairs and a human findings conversation.
Boundaries

It is deliberately narrower than a full hotel technology audit.

  • A rating of the hotel.
  • A mystery-shop score.
  • A full SEO audit.
  • A complete accessibility audit.
  • A security audit.
  • A full PMS or distribution audit.
  • A statistical estimate of the hotel sector.
  • Proof that a major rebuild is needed.
  • An operational certification.
  • An automated scrape presented as human judgment.

The Snapshot may conclude that no major rebuild is necessary.

That is a useful outcome.

Example

A small wording change can create a large operational promise.

Established position

Later arrival after 20:00 requires written confirmation.

Representation

Late check-in available.

Assessment

Condition lost.

Why it matters

The shorter statement may lead a guest to believe after-hours access is already guaranteed.

Repair direction

Restore the confirmation condition where the surface supports it. Where the surface cannot express the condition accurately, provide a safe action path rather than stronger wording.

This is a Tamaga Hotel synthetic example. It is not a finding about the visitor’s property.

How it works

One promise. Evidence first. Human review.

  1. 1

    Choose the promise

Select one fact or condition that matters to a real guest decision.

  2. 2

    Establish the position

Review the hotel-controlled source and any authoritative operational evidence that can be used.

  3. 3

    Capture the representations

Record what the relevant surfaces actually expose, including access failures and expected omissions.

  4. 4

    Compare meaning

    Identify only material mutations.

  5. 5

    Map ownership

Find who can correct the public wording, who controls the system, and who confirms the operational outcome.

  6. 6

    Agree the next move

The next step may be a targeted repair, a source correction, a Blueprint, or a Tamaga Hospitality implementation.

Who it is for

Strongest where one promise travels through several systems and people.

Strong fit: independent or family-run hotel or guesthouse; meaningful direct-booking ambition; a website plus an external booking engine or PMS; room, arrival, family, access, parking, meal, cancellation, or transfer complexity; multilingual or international guests; requests handled through email, messaging, or staff memory; and an owner or decision-maker willing to explain the intended meaning.

Weaker fit: a visual refresh is the only goal; there is no consequential promise to trace; the property expects Tamaga to replace every operating system; no decision-maker can establish what the house actually intends; or the property wants a generic automated score rather than a reviewed diagnostic.

Request a Snapshot

Send the property and the promise.

Until the provider-backed web form is selected, the active request route is email.

Please include

  • Property website.
  • Property name.
  • Your name and role.
  • One consequential fact or condition you want traced.
  • Optional current PMS or booking engine.
  • Any short context that helps explain why the promise matters.

Keep private

  • Payment-card data.
  • Guest identity documents.
  • Reservation credentials.
  • PMS passwords.
  • Unrelated personal guest data.
Questions

The Snapshot stays deliberately narrow.

Do you need access to our PMS?
Not for a public-source Snapshot. If later work requires internal evidence, that scope and data boundary are agreed separately.
Do you need exactly seven accessible surfaces?
No. The method preserves seven representation roles, but inaccessible or irrelevant surfaces are recorded honestly.
Will the Snapshot tell us to rebuild our website?
Only if the evidence supports that conclusion. A targeted repair may be the better answer.
Is the Snapshot automated?
No. Tools may support evidence collection and comparison, but the diagnostic and interpretation are human-reviewed.
Can the Snapshot cover several promises?
The strongest first Snapshot stays narrow. If several promises are materially connected, scope can be agreed before work begins.
How much does it cost?
The Snapshot is a fixed-fee diagnostic. Current price, exact scope, and availability are confirmed before work begins.

Which promise would you trace first?

Send the property and the promise. A provider-backed web form is not selected yet, so the active request route is email.
