How Tamaga works / Channel Lens

See where a hotel promise changes meaning.

A hotel does not need the same sentence everywhere. It does need consequential facts, conditions, limits, and confirmation paths to survive the journey. Channel Lens makes meaningful drift visible.

Governed promise

Later arrival after 20:00 requires written confirmation.

Structured-data surface

No relevant field for the condition.

EXPECTED OMISSION

Booking / external representation

Semantic mapping: Late check-in; confirmation required.

Late check-in available.

CONDITION LOST

Different words are fine. Changed meaning is not.

Ready to inspect.

One finding, carried by evidence and human-authorized repair.

Representation

Difference is normal. Consequential drift is the problem.

A hotel website, booking engine, confirmation message, structured-data layer, local profile, OTA, and AI answer do not share the same format. Channel Lens asks whether the representation preserved the part of the promise the guest may rely on.

Meaning

Protect the parts that change the guest decision.

  • The condition attached to a promise, an important limitation, the action the guest must take, the authority required to confirm it, and whether the information is current can all be consequential.
Expected variation

A shorter representation is not automatically wrong.

Tone, sentence length, field order, marketing emphasis, machine-readable fields, and safe omission can vary. A structured format with no accurate field for the cutoff may omit it rather than force nuance into a field that means something else.

How Channel Lens knows what it knows

The strongest findings describe changed meaning

What the representation exposes now

Current observation

It can change; the observation is the visible source for the current check.

What was observed at a particular time

Frozen capture

An immutable capture gives a finding historical evidence.

Why the difference is material

Assessment

A deterministic interpretation compares the evidence with the governed promise and representation profile.

Tamaga Hotel example

The dangerous mutation can look completely reasonable.

Expected fact cannot be found

Absent

A consequential fact expected on the surface is missing.

Part of the meaning remains

Flattened

The surface removes a useful distinction.

The representation conflicts

Contradictory

The surface says something that disagrees with the governed position.

The memorable mutation

Condition lost

A promise remains but its condition disappears.

A dangerous shortcut

Request became guarantee

A requestable or pending outcome is represented as already confirmed.

Responsibility is missing

Authority unclear

The visitor cannot tell which source or person controls the outcome.

Governed repair

A Lens is useful only if someone can act on what it finds.

Governed position

Later arrival after 20:00 requires written confirmation.

Representation

Late check-in available.

Finding

CONDITION LOST

A repair record can identify the affected surface, governed meaning, evidence, mutation type, wording owner, system owner, confirmation owner, required correction, and verification requirement. It should not automatically rewrite live third-party content.

Current boundary

Demonstrate the method before pretending to monitor the whole travel web.

The current Tamaga Hotel reference implementation demonstrates owned or generated outputs, explicit fictional or manually supplied external evidence, frozen captures, deterministic assessments, and a public Lens view. It does not claim continuous scraping of every OTA, local platform, search result, or AI system.

What it is not

It checks meaning. It does not become the channel manager.

Channel Lens is not an OTA inventory distributor, live-rate synchronization engine, automatic third-party content editor, requirement for identical copy, AI system deciding truth, or evidence created by the audit itself.

Product to diagnostic

The Snapshot uses the same discipline before a full Tamaga build exists.

A Seven-Version Snapshot can trace one consequential promise across the surfaces a hotel already has. Channel Lens is the product capability; the Snapshot is the smaller diagnostic entry point.

Working proof

Tamaga Hotel includes planted fictional drift so the Lens has something real to detect.

The demo intentionally contains controlled fictional representation differences. Those findings are part of the demonstration design, not evidence that a real OTA or AI system made the same mistake for a real hotel.

Questions

The Lens remains precise about what it knows.

Does Channel Lens require identical copy everywhere?
No. The point is semantic consistency
Is an omitted fact always a failure?
No. Some formats cannot represent every nuance safely; expected omission can be the correct outcome.
Does Channel Lens scrape every OTA automatically?
Not in the current demonstrated product. Live external acquisition is a later operational and legal decision.
Can Channel Lens automatically correct a third-party listing?
Not as a default product claim. A finding should lead to an authorized repair path with clear ownership.
Is an AI answer treated as evidence?
An AI output can be captured as a representation for analysis. It is not the authoritative source for the hotel’s underlying promise.
How is Channel Lens different from the Snapshot?
Channel Lens is the product capability for governed representation comparison. The Snapshot is a smaller diagnostic service applying the same discipline before a full implementation.
